Degree Requirement Modeling
Modeling the variety of degree structures across institutions, with nested requirement categories, credit thresholds, and elective flexibility, required careful data design to stay generic enough to be broadly useful.
Tradeoffs
Frontend-First Approach
I chose to build the full UI with placeholder data before introducing a backend. This let me validate the experience quickly, at the cost of deferring real persistence and multi-device sync to a later phase.
Outcome
The application is currently on the Apple App Store. The project has deepened my experience in mobile UI design, academic data modeling, and building structured planning tools from the ground up.
